The Enhancing Regulatory Science for the Risk Based Assessment of Emerging Manufacturing Technologies program support the development and implementation of manufacturing technology in the pharmaceutical sector including product manufacturing technology, manufacturing processes, and testing technology. These efforts are in support of the advancement of existing pharmaceutical manufacturing technology. Potential projects include but are not excluded to:
- Development of approaches to capture the properties and behavior common raw materials.
- Development of process modeling and simulation
- Development of science and risk based approaches for effective regulatory assessments
- Development of a general approach to support real time release testing
- Development of tools and approaches for risk-based quality assessment of new manufacturing technologies
$6 million is available for allocation with awards not to exceed $3 million pre Fiscal Year. Eligible applicants include:

- Nonprofit organizations with or without 501(c)(3) IRS status
