Savio Macchine Tessili S.p.A. Unveils New Textile Machinery
Savio Macchine Tessili S.p.A., a textile machinery manufacturer, intends to unveil its largest automatic winder and air-jet spinning machine at the ITMA 2023 exhibition in Milan, Italy. These two machines are the product of four years of continuous R&D efforts.
Their automatic winder, called the Proxima Smartconer, has been designed to meet a broad range of applications. The detail in manufacturing allows the machine to adapt to demands of connectivity, industry 4.0, and industrial internet of things. Savio reports their machine offers high productivity, low energy consumption, premium yarn quality, automation, and data connectivity.
The Lybra Smartspinner, an air-jet spinning machine, utilises a novel spinning technology to meet applications in knitting, home textiles, and sunshades production. Air-jet spun yarn has a soft and smooth feel, perfectly adaptable to create functional and fashionable fabrics. Air-jet spinning offers yarn manufacturers the opportunity to produce yarn at high production rates and low processing costs.
The Lybra Smartspinner will also showcase a novel Multi Blend System, allowing operators to use two separate slivers rather than a pre-blended one. The fibres are mixed together inside the spinning chamber, producing a final, customised yarn. The control system allows remote monitoring of the blend composition without changing the feeding slivers. This simplified, automated process will support creativity in the textile industry as operators will be able to generate their own custom colour mixtures and blends.
