Versogen Selected For Shell GameChanger Accelerator
Versogen, a Delaware-based space startup, has been selected for the fourth cohort of companies to advance in the Shell GameChanger Accelerator powered by NREL (GCxN). This accelerator is an invitation-only, cleantech funding source which connects those selected with the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
The fourth cohort is aimed at proving that electrochemistry technologies can replace carbon-intensive legacy processes. Versogen will have access to over $100,000 in funding over the course of 24 months. They are working on developing an electrolyzer which uses water and renewable energy to produce green hydrogen at scale. Through use of a patented anion exchange membranes, they believe their hydrogen-generating solution could reduce industrial carbon emissions.
Are you developing new technology for an existing application? Did you know your development work could be eligible for the R&D Tax Credit and you can receive up to 14% back on your expenses? Even if your development isn’t successful your work may still qualify for R&D credits (i.e. you don’t need to have a patent to qualify). To find out more, please contact a Swanson Reed R&D Specialist today or check out our free online eligibility test.
