Hacking for Defense comes to Wichita State University
Wichita State University has been selected to participate in the Hacking for Defense program (H4D). H4D is a university course sponsored by the Department of Defense and teaches students how to address the nation’s emerging threats and security challenges. WSU’s Masters of Innovation Design program has partnered with FirePoint Innovations Center to bring this course to WSU and develop viable defense solutions.
Sponsors from the DoD present technology challenges to teams of students who then engage in rapid R&D to try and solve them. This form of real-world learning provides a great opportunity for the students to practice hands on R&D and connects the DoD with creative and out of the box thinking. Students from any academic discipline are encouraged to join the course and be a part of the first H4D program in Kansas.
Are you developing a new product? Did you know your development work could be eligible for the R&D Tax Credit and you can receive up to 14% back on your expenses? Even if your development isn’t successful your work may still qualify for R&D credits (i.e. you don’t need to have a patent to qualify). To find out more, please contact a Swanson Reed R&D Specialist today or check out our free online eligibility test.
